She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Nicholas Papps and Helen Papps (Stratos); her husband Ernest J Willson of Belle Mead, NJ; her children, Ernest N Willson (Amy) and Nicole Willson Vyain (Chris Vyain) of Milwaukie, OR; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Jack and Emily Willson of Bechtelsville, PA.; her siblings, Grayce Papps of West Roxbury, MA and George Papps of Dedham, MA; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Chadbourne of Harmony, ME, Susan Newsheller of Ocala, FL, Elaine Williams of Troutman, NC and Barbara Newsheller of Farmington, CT.

“Vyola was a big-hearted woman with a sly and warm wit. She was one of the first people I met at Bloomberg more than 20 years ago, and was a teacher for not just the training week but throughout our time together in the Princeton bureau. Her calmness in that crazy work environment was an inspiration. But I best remember her for introducing me to the JP Morgan Library in New York, and for other fun discussions about art and writing. My condolences to her family.”
