John Kisluk wrote a sympathy message

“Chief Catania was the most friendly and professional law enforcement person that Marilyn and I ever met and had the pleasure of inter acting with. It was great of him to introduce us to Melanie at the town 150 year celebration. We had the pleasure of dealing with chief Catania on many different issues and topics that he became more like a friend to us. We will always remember him as a great person and professional Lawman who will be greatly missed by us. John Kisluk & Marilyn Shorette”
