With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Nellie Douyard in Avon, Connecticut, born in Bristol, Connecticut, who passed away on April 4, 2025 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lois Nellie Douyard to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sven Ruquist and Nellie Pitts Ruquist; her brothers, Norman and Thomas; her husband Raymond A Douyard; and her son Jay.
She is survived by: her brother Clifford Ruquist; her children, Mark (Barbara Bayers) of Smyrna, DE, David (Lisa) of New Hartford, Beth of Thomaston and Michael (Andrea) of Middlebury; her grandchildren, Christopher Douyard (Christa), Jonathan Douyard (Sarah), Jessica Douyard (John Souchet), Jacqueline Douyard (Carlos Aponte), Reya Worley, Sarah M. Douyard and Emily Douyard; and her great grandchildren, Elliott, Tyler, Lennox, Nora and Donovan. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Terryville Congregational Church (233 S Main St, Terryville, CT 06786).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Terryville Congregational Church Memorial Fund.
