It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Josephine Iken of Avon, Connecticut, born in Queens, New York, who passed away on October 3, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her spouse Diederich Gottfried "Dick" Iken, Jr.; her parents, William Fischer and Catherine Fischer (Dunne); and her siblings, Raymond, William Fischer, Jean Miller and Geraldine Nourse.

She is survived by: her children, Lisa Lafferty of Schodack Landing, NY, Heidi O'Donnell (Tim) of Canton, Eric Iken (Cheryl) of Fairfield and Julie Sawyer (Mark) of Canton; her sisters, Betty Arleth and Patricia Ketchel (Tom); and her grandchildren, Christian, Jacob, Caroline Lafferty, Aidan, Liam O'Donnell, Ryan, Colin and Joseph Iken. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations in her memory may be made to organizations supporting Alzheimer's research and support.
