With solemn reverence, we commemorate Joseph T. Gaffney of Avon, Connecticut, whose life came to an end on January 30, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Judge John L. Gaffney and Mary Gaffney (Shanahan); his brother John; his wife Marge (Collins); his daughter Mary Gaffney McDonagh; his grandson Jeffrey McDonagh; his sister Jean Minahan; and his brother-in-law Daniel Minahan.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Jean Gaffney; his daughters, Margaret Gaffney Radionovas (Al), Ann Gaffney Marquis (Allen) and Maureen Gaffney Bridgman (Jeff); and his grandchildren, Katherine Pilger, Sarah McDonagh, Kelly Hoyte, Kevin McDonagh, Nicole, Michael Marquis, Ellen, Stephen and Kyle Bridgman. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, four nephews, a niece.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home (1084 New Britain Ave, West Hartford, CT 06110). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Brigid Church (1083 New Britain Ave, West Hartford, CT 06110). A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Old St. Joseph Cemetery (496 Hamilton Ave, Waterbury, CT 06706).
