Catherine M. Durdan Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine M. Durdan of Avon, Connecticut, born in Bath, Maine, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2024 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Poolos and Eunice Poolos (Decker); and her child-in-law Beverly. She is survived by: her children, Dianne D. Pizzanello of Fall River, MA and John A. Durdan, III of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; her grandchildren, Heather Pizzanello (Richard J. Triblets, Jr.), Dominick Pizzanello (Sarah), John Pizzanello, Jonathan Durdan, Laura Alderman and Kelly Durdan; her great grandchildren, Andrew, Isabelle and John Pizzanello; her sister Donna Stark (James) of East Hartford; her nieces and nephews, Cheryl MacCluggage (Stewart), Angela Baron (Brendan), Scott Stark (Tiffany) and James Stark; and her close friend Chet Mulka.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center (301 Country Club Rd, Avon, CT 06001). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery (72 Climax Rd, Avon, CT 06001).
