It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas John Coonan of Ansonia, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on September 13, 2023, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Coonan and Ellen Foley Coonan. He is survived by: his siblings, Kevin Coonan of Southington, Kathleen Mary Coonan, Hamden, Sheila Coonan of Plantsville, Mary Ellen Coonan (Scott Litchfield) of Southington and Patricia Coonan of West Haven; and his nieces and nephews, Sarah, Adam (Luisa), Liam, Maighread, Johannah and Shannon. He is also survived by cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Sacred Heart Academy, 265 Benham St. Hamden, CT 06514.
