He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Redd (Simmons) and Bishop Eugene A. Redd; his brother-in-law Tommy; his pets, Dingo and Lucky; and his godsons, Moses Wilds, Jr. and Kevin Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife J. Meany Redd; his children, Randall Sr. Redd (Helen) of Rhode Island and Tracy Redd Edwards (Hugh, Jr.) of Connecticut; his siblings, Eugene Russell (Janet) of Tennessee, Priscilla Black (Thomas) of Japan, Tarsyia Waddell of Texas and Ronja Goldson (Terri Sr.) of Connecticut; his grandchildren, Ni-Jah, Hugh, III, Kijan, Arista, Randall Jr., Heaven, Jair, Zaria, Randolph and Randell; his great grandchildren, Amir, Kionnie, Donald and Halo; his close friends, Dean Ford and Ron Novak; and his godson James Schuler. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family.
