She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie and John Schmegner; her husband Martin Balnicki; and her siblings, John Schmegner and Marie Steiger.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Balnicki Wetherall (Chris) of Oak Ridge, TN and Peggy Cohen (Larry) of Madison, CT; her grandchildren, Michelle Cohen of New Haven, CT and Gregory Cohen (Melanie) of Guilford, CT; and her great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Miles Cohen.
