We bid farewell to Madeline H. Bottone in Ansonia, Connecticut, born in Granville, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 4, 2024 at the age of 91. Madeline touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Alphonso J. Bottone (Fonzy); her parents, Nicholas Hritz and Helen Hritz (Filisko); and her siblings, Helen Skirkanich, Margaret Zaniewski, Mary Turner, Katherine Hritz, Julia Zatzick, Joseph Hritz and Michael Hritz (Ralph Blowers).
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Goggi (Alan) of Ansonia and Joseph Bottone (Margaret) of Bethany; her grandchildren, Jessica West (Stephen), Alyssa Goggi (Megan Feragne), Nicholas Bottone, Geoffrey Mate (Amy) and Glenn Mate (Emily); and her great grandchild Emma Rose West. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Spinelli-Ricciuti Funeral Home (62 Beaver St, Ansonia, CT 06401). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Three Saints Orthodox Church (26 Howard Ave, Ansonia, CT 06401).
