She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Bailey and Ruth Jordan Bailey; her husband Melvin; and her sister Barbara Bailey. She is survived by: her son Jeffrey Blount of Ansonia; her granddaughters, Alexis Blount of Ansonia and Ashley Blount of New Haven; her brother Leslie Bailey Jr. of Ansonia; and her niece Leslie Bailey. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
