She is survived by: her children, Paula Smart of New Milford and Philip Prohorik of Ansonia; her goddaughter Dr. Cynthia Chernecky; her grandchildren, Karyn Tarutis of West Hartland, Jonathan, Tarutis of New Milford and Carrie Ann Scherer; and her great grandchild Dakota. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
