He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Barto and Hazel Villers Barto; his wife Karen Barto (Ranno); and his nephew Douglas Barto. He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia "Trish" Barto of Ansonia and Kate Kochiss of Stratford; his brother John Barto; his grandchildren, Alexa McMahon, Johnny Picheco III, Nicholas and Matthew Kochiss; and his great grandchild Maximilian McMahon.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jenkins-King & Malerba Funeral Home (12 Franklin St, Ansonia, CT 06401). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Griffin Hospital Cancer Center in memory of his wife Karen.
