He was predeceased by: his parents, Eben H. Smith and Mabel Smith (Mackie); his wife Marion Smith (Maciejko); and his brother Eben H. Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Diane Massey (Gregory) of West Hartford, CT; his grandchildren, Brooke Massey of Brooklyn, NY and Clayton Massey of Nyack, NY.; his sister-in-law Mary E. Smith of West Newbury, VT; and his cousins, John and Marylou Aremburg of Chester, VT..
Services will be private due to the pandemic; however, a Graveside Memorial Ceremony and Service will be held June 6, 2021 (Charlie & Marion's Wedding anniversary) at Andover Townsend Cemetery, wherein both Charles and Marion will be inurned together at 11 A. M.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Andover Volunteer Fire Department, 11 School Rd, Andover, CT 06232.
