He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Herman Hotes and Doris Alice Scheele; his wife Dorothy Mae Christensen; his daughter Jolynn Kay; his siblings, Phil and Anita; and his stepfather George E. Jackson.
He is survived by: his son Craig William; his daughter-in-law Trina; his daughter Lori Waknin; his granddaughters, Holly Mandis and Lanina Piil; his grandson-in-law McKennon; his great grandchild Benjamin Mandis of Denver; his sister Linda; and his brother-in-law Tom Watson of Arizona.
