He was predeceased by: his parents, Scott E. Tombaugh and Aileen Tombaugh (Devlin); his brother Chuck Tombaugh; his parents-in-law, Arza and Pauline Clabaugh; and his siblings-in-law, Eleanor Ethridge, Robert and Leonard Clabaugh.
He is survived by: his daughter Christine Scott (Ron); his wife Lila Tombaugh (Clabaugh); his children, Scott Tombaugh (Lisa), Joyce Tombaugh, Michael Tombaugh (Angela) and Richard Tombaugh (Christine); his grandchildren, Brittani Smith, Danielle Smith, Evan Tombaugh, Theodore Tombaugh, Alexi Naylor, Karlie Tombaugh, James Tombaugh, Ethan Tombaugh and Rachel Logadice; his great grandchildren, Mayson Rodrigues, Christian Rodrigues, Will Schnar, Grace Naylore and Brooklynn Naylor; his brother Joe Tombaugh; and his siblings-in-law, Leona Scott, Nadine Dewey, Rex Claybaugh and Arthur Clabaugh. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
