He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Ahrendt and Elsa Ahrendt; his former wife Lois Schmidt of Ocheyedan, Iowa.; and his brother Jim Ahrendt of Sioux City. He is survived by: his wife Karen Breitenfeld (Sander); his children, Marcia Perrotto (Greg) of Berthoud, Bruce Ahrendt (Karrie) of Bellingham and Audrey Todd (Jim) of Littleton, Colorado; his sisters, Ruth Lange of Iowa and Mary Lou Schmidt of Iowa; and his stepsons, Bryan, David Breitenfeld of Colorado and Scot Breitenfeld of Illinois. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be made to Faith Lutheran Church in Woodland Park.

Harold served in the 399th Armored Field Artillery, Service Battery in the 8th Armored Division and participated in the Battle of the Bulge, Rhineland Campaign and Central Europe earning 3 Battle Stars for his noble service. Please accept the deepest sympathy from the 8th Armored Division Association, original veterans and comrades from the Division and the membership, friends and families. W”
