He was predeceased by: his parents, August Heldt and Ruth Heldt (Engnel); his significant other Patricia Fairbanks; his former wife Bernice Leinweber; and his sisters, Vivian Dedman and Janet Phinney.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Rae Marcy (Gordon) and David Heldt (Lee Ann); his siblings, Bill Heldt (Edris) and Betty Spencer (Bill); and his grandchildren, Amanda Hartshorn, Laura Patterson, Lisa Maxwell, Shara Marcy, Michelle Hendrick and Jonathan Marcy. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
He also was proud of donating blood.
