It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Carol Koch in Windsor, Colorado, born in Elmhurst, Illinois, who passed away on July 2, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlotte Kathleen and Edward Louis Smith. She is survived by: her daughter Barbara; her pet Kelsey; her sister Penny; her daughter Wendy; her grandchildren, Jake and Kyra McDonald; her great grandchild Colter Workman; her sisters, Lynn Sefcovic and Elaine Carlson; her nephew Christopher Brockman; her nieces, Pam Love and Kim Renger; and her husband Major William P. Koch. She is also survived by met her husband-to-be through Parents Without Partners.
For those who'd like to send flowers, the family has requested tabletop or smaller arrangements as they will be donated afterwards to her nursing home, Columbine Commons, for residents to enjoy and remember Kathy.
