He is survived by his wife, children by birth and marriage, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

“Jim: Friend, class mate of South High School and ROTC, it is extremely sad for me to learn of your passing. I remember the times picking you and John up and taking us all to school. You got your wish to become a Colorado State Trooper and you were a great one. We had good times together in school and in senior hall. We both served with honor in Vietnam. You will be missed for your smile and grace. Rest in peace my friend. May God bless your family in this sadness.”
