He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Benson (Benny) and Ethel Benson (McCready); his brother Gerald; his wife Marian Williams; and his children, Beatrice Blanc (Larry), Tim Benson, Eunice Spears (Fred), Loida Robinson (Ken), Rachel Benson (Hamid) and Margarita Johnston (Brian). He was also cherished by 20 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
