He accepted responsibility, stepped up to leadership positions, & was a loving model for his family. Even so, his sense of humor & wit showed a selective irreverence for tradition & routine. Woody was an observer as well as an active participant. He seemed to enjoy quietly watching people & activities even as he leapt into action when there was fun to be had, especially at lake or pool.”
