He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Pete; his father J. R. Tolbert (Judy); and his brother Bobby Tolbert. He is survived by: his wife Robin Bickford Tolbert; his children, Joseph "Joe" Tolbert (Crystalyn), Tabitha Vela (Sean) and Sabrina Farmer (Brando); his grandchildren, Keona Vela, Katelyn Vela, Savannah Tolbert and Jude Farmer; and his siblings, Charlotte Aldred (Ronnie), Pam O'Brian (Dave), Diane Webb (Gary), Kathy Stapp (Phillip), Tim Hammond and Connie Hammond. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.
