He is survived by: his sister Regina Bellinghausen; his sons, James David of Houston and Carter Lawrence (Sherry) of Katy; his grandchildren, Grant, Isabel and Hilary Anne (Jeff Peeples); and also Alexandra.

In lieu of flowers, Mass memorials for the repose of his soul can be directed to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with that intention.
