He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elwood Edward "Red" Dicks and Eula Irene Hancock; his close friend Chip Latrell; his wife Margaret "Jean" Sample; his children, Ron and Russell; his daughter-in-law Diane; his daughter Rosemary Iverson (Mike); his grandchildren, Russell and Ron; his niece Dana Sprawls Kraft (Dennis); his cousin Victor William "Buzz", Jr.; his nephew Claude "Bud" Freshour; his grandchildren, Allyson Cochran, Chista Tinker, Leon Dicks and Kyle Dicks; and his great grandchild Devon Tinker.
