She was predeceased by: her parents, John Olmedo and Refujia "Ruth" Olmedo (Armenta); her husband Larry E. Martel; and her siblings, Manuel, Jesse, Effie, Lupe, Lucy, Geneva, Lloyd, Irene, Victoria and Sunny.

She is survived by: her children, Larry Martel, Jr. and Lorrie Dowell; her grandchildren, Tonja Alvarado (Jesse), Jason Martel (Stacy), Adam Martel (Felicitas) and Emma Dowell (Taras); her great grandchildren, Mercedes Snook (Van), Jesse Alvarado, Jr., Ina Alvarado, Justin Alvarado of Glori Martel, C. J, D'Innocenzo, Kanin Martel and Athena Martel; and her sisters, Mary Ellen Olmedo and Isabel Sanchez. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family and friends.
