It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Bonenberger (Wellington, Colorado), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on June 6, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Ron Bonenberger. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Lagerquist; his children, Deanne, Michael Bonenberger (Erica) of Fort Collins, CO, Bret Bonenberger (Jenni) of Breckenridge, CO, Brandon Bonenberger (Jessie) of Lander and Kirsten Anderson (Jimmy) of Windsor, CO; and his grandchildren, Sarah Seitz, Aaron (Michaela Bonenberger), Max (Axl Bonenberger), Jordan, Kolton (Kennady Bonenberger) and Alexa (Reese Anderson). He is also survived by husband of 55 years, loving father and beloved grandfather.

“Very sorry for your loss. I met 1Sgt Bones my 1st drill with the Air Guard. I was a bit gun shy of him coming from the Army. 1Sgt called me into his office- I was quite sure that I was in for a good old fashioned “welcome to the unit/ don't mess up” - I promptly snapped to parade rest in his tiny office. I think he smirked a bit and tried to get me to relax. He was always very kind and helpful.”
