We are sad to announce that on December 27, 2024, at the age of 18, Melissa Rangel of Walsh, Colorado, born in Lamar, Colorado passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandmother Santos Espinoza; and her aunt Celsa Charette-Rangel. She is survived by: her mother Felipa Rangel of Lamar, CO; her siblings, Shaya Wheeler (Jerry Baber) of Lamar, CO, Zane Wheeler of Lamar, CO, Jesse Wheeler of Lamar, CO and Karen Wheeler of Lamar, CO; her grandfather Carlos Rangel III of Walsh, CO; her nephew Liam Baber of Lamar, CO; her stepgrandmother Connie Wheeler; her father Keith Wheeler of Springfield, CO; and her stepfather Heriberto "Biggs" Vasquez of Texas. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Walsh Cemetery (45050 Co Rd DD, Walsh, CO 81090).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Melissa Rangel Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
