He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Vollertsen and Catherine Vollertsen (Shepard); his wife Shirley Ann Vollertsen; and his sister Nancy Krafchik. He is survived by: his sons, Douglas Vollertsen (Kristin) of Villa Grove, CO. and Shawn Vollertsen (Ericka) of Villa Grove, CO.; his grandchildren, Ava Rose Vollertsen, Norah Grace Vollertsen, Alexis Vollertsen and Ethan Vollertsen; his sister Sandra Sanders of Largo, FL; and his nephew Casey Krafchik.
