It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilbert Root Sr. (Towaoc, Colorado), who passed away on July 16, 2019, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Root Jr. and Lizzie Shed Jacket; his daughter Illana Root-Chee; his siblings, Charlene King, Delbert King Sr., Showdeer Jacket, Bernice King, Leroy Hamlin and John Hamlin; his half-brothers, Charlie Root, Julian Root, Steve Root and Robert Root; and his aunt Jessie Root.
He is survived by: his wife Rosie Mae McKewan; and his children, David Root (Colleen) of Towaoc, CO, Timothy Root of Towaoc, CO, Valerie Root (Sammy Bedah) of Towaoc, CO, Lillian Murray (Francisco Ramirez) of Towaoc, CO, Wilbert Root Jr. of Towaoc, CO and Rozalia Morgan of Towaoc, CO. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
