He was predeceased by: his parents, Kern Edward Sr. of Washington and Rose Mary Mills; and his brothers, Lester Lee Posey, Lonnie Ray Dutchie Sr. and Henry Mills.

He is survived by: his sister Rose Ann Mills of Towaoc.
