He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jay Lauhon Sr. and Margaret Meibergen; and his son-in-law Bernie. He is survived by: his brothers, Ted (San Diego) and Terry (Colorado Springs); his son Tom (Cheri); his wife Glenna; his daughter Casey (Jeff); his grandchildren, BJ (Westminster), Kayleigh (Brighton), Braxton, Colton (Salt Lake City), Aubrey and Dakota (Commerce City); and his great grandchildren, Jacob and Jaxson (Salt Lake City).

Due to COVID restrictions and limited capacity, services will be invite only.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jay's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
