He was predeceased by: his parents, Roberto Zarate and Maria Zarate; and his sister Martha. He is survived by: his children, Raymond and Helena; and his siblings, Graciela, Teresa, Lupe, Gloria, Jose, Ygnacio and Juan. He is also survived by the oldest of four brothers.
