He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold and Mary; and his siblings, Joe McDonald, Charles McDonald, Timothy McDonald, Michael McDonald and Cindy Aoyagi.

He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Brenda (Chris) and Mark (Molly); his grandchildren, Xavier, Tiffany, Maleah and Braeden; his great grandchild Nya; and his siblings, Mary Ziegler, Roger McDonald, Barbra Kramer, Maureen Ellsworth and Karen Wadley.
