He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Byrd and Evie Sloan Byrd; and his siblings, William Bennett Byrd, Thomas Sloan Byrd, Mitchell Ford Byrd, Vance Byrd, James Blankenship Byrd, Ralph Douglas Byrd, Annie Davis Jones and Selma Hawkins.
He is survived by: his wife Lina Weiland; his children, Michael Byrd of Thornton, Colorado and Diana Byrd of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his brother Scott Byrd (Norene) of Bethpage, Tennessee; and his sister-in-law Pat Weiland of Brighton, Colorado. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to a veterans charity of your choice, the Eastern Star Masonic Retirement Community in Denver, Colorado, or another charity of your choice.
