She was predeceased by: her husband Luciano Ruiz; and her daughter Marylou Brewer. She is survived by: her children, James Ruiz, Helen Gonzales (Sam), Ruth Cordova (Leonard) and Lori Hildebrandt (Gary). She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
