He is survived by: his children, Melvin Jr. Michael, Mark and Melissa; his grandchildren, LeAnna (Calvin), Jordan, Rachel (Andy) and Sonya (Judd); his great grandchildren, Conrad and Zella; and his siblings, Beverly Larkin, Linda Stephenson and Perry Newton. He is also survived by many nieces nephews and friends.
