She was predeceased by: her husband Guadalupe Elizalde; her daughter Rosario; and her brother David. She is survived by: her children, Santa, Thomas and Victor; her siblings, Thelma, Alma and Edward; and her daughter Guadalupe Rodriguez (Maria Pura Mendez). She is also survived by her foster children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, many friends and caregivers.
Memorial donations in memory of Maria may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation.
