She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Engelbrecht and Bernadine Engelbrecht; and her siblings, Judy, Gerald, Norm and Bill.

She is survived by: her husband Mark Whitney; her sister Janice (Ken) of Westminster, CO; her stepson Aaron Whitney of Minneapolis, MN; her stepgrandchildren, Triston, Taylor and Tyler of New Ulm, MN; and her stepchildren, Amber, Carvin and Dannica of Horace, ND. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
