He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Ralph Witzke and Helen Overton Witzke (Lee); his brother Theodore; his sister-in-law June Witzke; his siblings, Barbara and David Witzke; and his brother-in-law David Gerwig.
He is survived by: his wife Pennie; his children, Jennifer Eaves (Dustin), Jarrod Witzke (Mary) and Justin Witzke (Monica); his sisters, Pat Gerwig and Joanna Rich (Robert); and his sister-in-law Diana Witzke. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
In honor of his father, Theodore, Gene requested donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Denver (alz.org/co).
