He was predeceased by: his parents, Onofre Fernandez and Julia Fernandez; his former wife Shirley Muniz; and his grandson Eddie Apodaca. He is survived by: his wife Mary Fernandez; his children, Sandra Apodaca (Ed) and Dean Fernandez (Regee); his grandchildren, Mark Fernandez (Jenny Blankenship), Zach Fernandez, Alex Fernandez (Amanda Cintron), Alicia Apodaca (Adam Tafoya) and Jared Apodaca (Kelsey Miller); and his great grandchildren, Jaiden, Riley, Zahriah, Isaiah and Avery.
