“I had the pleasure to work with Don for nearly 20 years at Nordson Corporation, where he was Senior Vice President for the company's East Asia, Latin America and Australian operations. He built organizations, and delivered enormous growth and success. He was universally loved and admired by the teams he built, and his colleagues across the company.. I extend my deepest sympathies to Lydia and Alexandra, who I know he loved dearly.”

Gordon Tillery wrote a sympathy message

“Dan was a classmate (Class of 1968) at the US Military Academy (West Point). He was a great friend and a good cadet - with prior military experience. I have fond memories of Don's cadet room in Company F-1 serving as a "sanctuary" for his plebe classmates to escape upperclassmen. In later years Don often participated in class reunions, memorial ceremonies, and activities such as the F-1 cruise in 2012.. Don was a great friend, a true gentleman, and an upstanding citizen. He is missed.”
