He was predeceased by: his brother Tommy McLean; his parents, John Patrick McLean and Grace Catherine Ford; and his brothers, Jack McLean and Mike McLean.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Whipple; his sons, Matthew McLean and Ben Laurienti; his granddaughters, Evelyn Laurienti and Alexandra Laurienti; and his siblings, Judith Ann McLean, Larry McLean, Debra Sue McKillog and Bob McLean.
