He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Edward Rector Sr. and Margaret Muro; his stepfather Joseph Muro; and his brothers, Richard (Robert), Robert and Joseph.

He is survived by: his wife June; his daughters, Vicki, Jody and Kathy; his sons-in-law, Art and Marvin; his sister Peggy; his grandchildren, Nick, Chad, Paul, Stephany (Andy), Matthew and Glenn (Nicki); his great grandchildren, Blayke, Ryder, Camdyn, Brysen and Quinn; and his sisters-in-law, Jeannie and Pat.
