It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Suzanne Pauline Gertge of Sterling, Colorado, who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Constant Hoozee and Margueritte Hoozee (Hentreep); her husband George Gertge; her stepmother Elizabeth Unrein Hoozee (Gertner); and her siblings, Frank (Dolores Hoozee), Jake (Henrietta Huss), Josephine (Albert Monheiser) and Joseph Hoozee.
She is survived by: her children, Greg of Sterling, Brenda Gertge of Sterling, Kim of Sterling, Mark Appelhans of Sterling, Gerry Gertge of Sterling and Kathy Gertge of Peetz, CO.; and her grandchildren, Jonathan (Christie Gertge), Eric (Jennissa Gertge), Jessica (David Roelle), Nicki (Curtis McCoy), Dani (Boyd), Kirk (Brittany Appelhans), Kyle (Alyson Appelhans) and Sean Appelhans.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Halouska Family Chaney Reager Funeral Home (443 S 2nd St, Sterling, CO 80751). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (326 S 3rd St, Sterling, CO 80751).
