He was predeceased by: his parents, Eleanor Moll and Leonard Japp; his brother Richard Japp; and his stepbrothers, Craig Moll and Steve Moll.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle Japp of Sterling; his children, Roger Japp II (Steven) of Commerce City, CO and Jeff Japp (Connie) of Sterling; his siblings, Nyla Japp (Joan) of Phoenix, AZ and Melvin Japp (Cindy) of Guernsey, WY; and his stepbrother Randy Moll. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, close cousins, and valued friends.
