It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leila Ruth Smith of Sterling, Colorado, born in Cass Lake, Minnesota, who passed away on December 15, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Frank Dewitt and Katherine Dewitt (Gaubatz); her husband Larry Douglas Smith; and her siblings, Harold, Lewis, Art, Les Dewitt, Esther, Barb and Lucy.

She is survived by: her sons, Timothy G. Smith and Douglas D. Smith (Dana); her grandson Christian Smith; and her siblings, Vernon Dewitt, Donald Dewitt and Elverna Dawson.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church for "Bibles for all Children", 732 Clark St., Sterling, CO 80751.
