It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Ann Spoon of Sterling, Colorado, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on August 24, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Whitmore "Bing" Oliver and Mary Isabelle Oliver (Laster); her former husband Robert J. Birt; and her siblings, Brent Oliver of Perry and Sally Oliver of Perry.

She is survived by: her son Mark (Gloria Spoon) of Conroe; and her great grandchildren, Kaylin, Andrew and Ashley Gesford.

“My Aunt Joyce was incredible and good hearted. She helped me and my family, my mother- her younger sister, for many years. I remember awsome times visiting in Fleming Colorado when I was young. Uncle Jerry taught me how to drive a tractor and dig up potatos at age 10 in the mid 70's. Joyce helped me out when I was recovering from my serious motorcycle accident in 1996. My mind wondering thinking of many things. I will miss her. Joyce, Brent, Sally. Incredible sisters and brother.”
