He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schell and Rose Schell (Schmitt); his children, Mary Rose and Terry Schell; his sister-in-law Ethel Ryan; his nephew Bruce Wodyziak; his brother Kenny Schell; his niece Natalie Luerman; his brothers-in-law, Tom Ryan, James Wodyziak and Jim Ryan; and his sister Pam Koester.
He is survived by: his former wife Rose Marie Ryan; his wife Rosie Schell; his daughter Melissa Bornhoft (Ken); his grandchild Kelsey (Kyle); his great grandchild Hadlee; his grandson Austin (Myiah Scott); his son Larry Schell (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Emma and Gabbie; his daughter-in-law Danette Koester (Stan Mustain); his grandchildren-in-law, Allison and Lindsey; his son Tim Schell (Nancy); his grandsons, Drew and Nick; his siblings, John Schell (Florence), Jim Schell (Mary), Don Schell (Kris), Pat Louderbach (Dewey) and Richard Schell (Judy); and his siblings-in-law, Ed Koester, Pam Schell, Mary Woydziak, Betty Gaines (Jon), Larry Ryan (Linda), Bill Ryan (Kathy), Patricia Ryan, Terry Ryan, Lois Ryan, Jerry Ryan (Terri), Don Ryan and Margaret Spangler (Don). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
