He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Lowery and Nellie Lowery; his wife Mary Lowery; and his siblings, Alvin, Wayne, Lorne, Donny and Alice.

He is survived by: his close friend Betty Ann Gandee; his little mutt buddy Scheister; his son James Lowery; his daughter-in-law Andrea; his granddaughter Melissa of New Jersey; his daughter Pam Chan; his son-in-law Wayne; and his granddaughter Katie of Seattle, WA.. He is also survived by Uncle Jim is survived by several nieces and nephews.
